Elovac - B vaccine is indicated for immunization against infection caused by all known subtypes of Hepatitis B virus. Routine vaccination is recommended for all new born, infants, children and adolescents.Vaccination of defined high risk populations is recommended for persons older than eighteen years of age.
Elovac - B (Recombinant Hepatitis – B vaccine) is a noninfectious recombinant DNA vaccine. It is a sterile suspension of purified major surface antigen of Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Elovac-B prevents chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection and its serious consequences, including liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular cancer (HCC) in Human beings. The Hepatitis B virus is a double-stranded, enveloped virus of the Hepadnaviridae family. A booster dose is recommended 12 months after the 1st dose.
