Care-O-Pet is used to help treat inflammation and arthritis in dogs. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which works similarly to how Advil works for humans.
Dosage and Administration
Correct dosage of Care-O-Pet is dependent on your dog’s condition. Always use medication as directed by your vet. This drug is prescription only and may only be given to dogs it has not been recommended for by a veterinarian. Never double-up a dose of Care-O-Pet to compensate for a missed dose, instead simply skip the missed dose and resume your schedule as normal.
Side Effects
Inform your vet at your next appointment of any side effects that occur when using Care-O-Pet, possible side effects may include the following.

Diarrhea, vomiting

Lethargy

Ulcers

Ring your vet immediately if your notice any of the following symptoms.

An allergic reaction with symptoms such as hives, rashes, difficulty breathing, or facial swelling

Tarry stools

Jaundice

Behavioral changes

Increased thirst and urination

Vomiting

Itchy skin (more than normal)
Precautions
During consultation you should inform your vet of any of the following.
Any allergies your dog may have.
Any other medication or supplements your dog is taking currently, or has taken recently.
If your dog is pregnant or providing milk for puppies.
Your dog’s medical history, especially if he/she has ever had problems related to the kidneys, liver or has had any ulcers.
