Ketasma is a corticosteroid that is used to minimize the frequency and severity of asthma attacks, possibly reducing the need for other asthma medications.
Contraindications:
Ketasma does not work to treat acute asthma attack – a rescue inhaler should be employed (if prescribed) or emergency medical treatment should be sought.
Side Effects:
Ketasma most common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness and flu- like symptoms. Weight gain, stomach pain, and rash should be reported immediately to your physician. Contact your physician if you develop any unusual bleeding or bruising, irritability, or severe mood swings. If you develop any side effects not listed here or that become bothersome – notify your physician.
Dosage:
Ketasma is typically taken in doses of 1mg each. Follow your physician’s instructions exactly during your treatment with Ketasma. Ketasma may be taken with or without food.
